Like the living in the country will be more dangerous than living in the city after a SHTF event?

To be honest I didn't watch the "URBAN SURVIVAL" stuff, I just thought the communications, gardening, food prep, back up power etc... was excellent.

and for the record I did an archive search for this and got NADA

That guy is a buffoon. What kind of fucktard needs personal validation from making youtube videos filled with piss-poor info? I wouldn't want him on my survival crew.

It was the one named: Force Multipliers . He goes on about his 7.62 Tungsten rounds being better than .50cal. Then all the gangbangers are going to steal gear from all the military bases and raid the country side by burning down farms with 1 tracer round.

Of course, all country folk talk like their from Hee-Haw

He's no different than the other dudes on youtube (nutnfancy, dsarti, mrlockandload, wranglerstar): some of their advice is universally good, some universally bad, and a lot of it applies to a varying degree depending on who you are and where you live.

The guy is waaaaaay too full of himself to be taken seriously.

Don't write these guys off so fast.  For example, yankee prepper's salsa recipe is killer (skip the sugar), and his videos on tannerite and smoke grenades are neat.  Small examples, I know.

It's the same as people who like to bash nutinfancy: you can disagree with his "run-n-gun" ideas/tactics, but his gear reviews are top notch and I've bought over a dozen things he's recommended and I've never been disappointed in a single one.

You're short changing yourself if you watch 45 seconds of one video of someone and decide there is nothing you can learn from them.

I watched some yankee preppers vids after click this thread.

At first I was cool good info especially the tannerite and thremite vids.

Then I was after about 2-3 vids about opsec and SHTF rifle's

and finally I was after he rips apart some dude on ham radio stuff and the city vs country.

I'll subscribe to nutnfancy before I subscribe to him.

My rule of thumb is not to take any survival videos on bootube to seriously  , I will watch a members here videos time to time but thats about all.   The best way to learn is to get out there and do what you can , dont forget to talk to those that are now in there 80s and older now , they have lived through a couple shtfs and are a wealth of practical survival knowledge .

Use y our gear know y our gear, use your skills know yourself.

Even though I don't agree with all of them I enjoy the YP videos. He has a real talent for video production. I believe he has become more defensive on his comments over the past six months because of his large subscriber base and tons of asinine comments from the peanut gallery. I even find his most of his non prepping videos, such as his recent blizzard experience "winter storm warning" entertaining  to watch. He has a way of making you feel like you're right there.

I'm not as big a fan as the gear heavy preppers.  I like stuff, I just feel some of them feed the perceived need to have certain stuff to an unrealistic level for most. I've found tons of useful information on youtube: intro to new products, techniques, or philosophies.  As with anywhere on the web there is a lot of crap you have to wade through at times.

Part of the learning process is to listen to what others have to say(with a grain of salt)...and take from it what works for you.  Youtube has a vast amount of knowledge on prepping.  Sort through the BS and learn as much as you can.  I for one have learned a lot from channels like nuntnfancy, lock&load, yankeeprepper, demcad, patriotnurse and so on.
