It really shouldn't matter what a bag looks like, it's not like this is a fashion show - (though far to many people care what things look like then their proper application) the bag should be able to be comfortable enough to wear, be able to fit what you wish to carry it in and not be so cumbersome that you can't store it properly, or it has become too heavy to be able to be carried.
The bag you have posted looks as if it would make a decent vehicle only kit, but if you need to carry it then you'd have to have another bag to transfer the gear into it. NOW, I don't know what pictures you posted because it's in multicam and everyone knows that blends in with everything....anywhere....anytime.
Personally, I'd stay with the Camelbak Pack you posted. For $100 bucks of vodoo tactical gear vs Camelbak gear? There isn't any doubt in which is better quality. |

That Voodoo bag is somewhat a copy of the Eagle NATO Loadout Bag. I have one of the original Eagle bags and it is a teriffic bag for deployments and traveling, but a BOB it is not, especially not a BOB you're going to carry over any distance on foot. Grab and throw in the vehicle bag? Sure. Carry more than a few hundred feet loaded? Probably not.
Stick with what you've got. |

I have the same Camelbak Urban Rover that I got at Cabelas for $49 when they were closing them out. I'm using it as my GHB in my truck. The only reason I would consider replacing it is that it does not have a waist belt to help distribute the load. Load it up heavy and it's not going to be all that comfy for a long trip. For now, I'm sticking with it, though, as it holds all the crap I need it to. |

A duffel is a bitch to haul on flat ground, let alone rough terrain. The duffel would make an awesome specialized gear bag for your vehicle, but my back aches already just thinking of hauling 30-40 pounds like that over the terrain here in PA. I'd stick with what you've got if you're looking for a BOB. If you're dead set on a new pack try hiking stores like REI. You can load the pack and walk around the store testing it out. I've found thats what works best for me. |
