I am wanting to add some high quality AA batteries to my stash for the flashlights and was curious which ones to choose (brand and type like lithium)?  I was also interested to see what people say about the rechargeables since years past my rechargeables did not last very long and after each charge they lasted less and less.  Input?

We stock these and these.  Batmanacw and others will be along shortly to tell you about rechargeable...

In a Surefire, Fenix or 4Seven how would these two options compare in performance?

Well, they're name brand batteries, the same as you buy at your local store.  I use the lithiums in my good flashlights etc because they don't leak and they're not sensitive to temperature.  The duracells are for less-critical stuff.  never had a problem w/ either of them, but the rules for alkaline batteries apply to the duracells just like any other alkaline:  don't count on them sub-20-deg, dont leave them unused in a device because they could leak, etc.

YMMV,

For standard batts, make sure your light can use lithium and use those. For recharge, use eneloops or duracell white top ( same battery ) they are precharged and hold the charge. I believe it was 80% capacity remaining after a year

Sams has energizer lithium aa batteries in bulk packs and I pick one up now and then.  Have 50 to 80 of them wandering around right now.

If they carried another brand of lithium I might have those as well.

I expect them to carry aaa lithium before too long since I am now seeing those around the checkouts in some stores.  I won't pay the high price for a 4 pack, I will pay for the bulk pack.

I still have some alkaline aa and aaa batteries around but I am using them up and not worrying about replacing them.  Rechargables are what I want to use in place of alkaline batteries.

I have some of the cheaper rechargables but would just buy eneloops or other very high quality rechargables.  I need to buy a better charger than my energizer chargers and then I will probably buy some eneloops.

I like lithiums because they last a long time stored on a shelf or in the car or whatever.  I figure they can probably leak but I have had fewer problems with them than the alkaline batteries.

I use cr123a batteries in some of my flashlights so I don't really use my aa lithiums all that much.  The flashlights get used all the time, as in daily, and aa stuff might get used monthly.  If going camping or something I might throw a new lithium in something that takes aa batteries so I know it is good to go for the campout.

I use the semi-drained stuff around the house for odds and ends.
