| i need a new tent for a kayaking/camping trip coming up in a couple of weeks. the g/f and i are going for a night on the river. i've got a good sized eight man tent and a small one man, neither of which will work... can someone recommend a good two to four man tent for under a hundred dollars? we've looked at walmart and the web. there are so many cheap tents out there i don't which one to get. i would rather spend one hundred dollars on a tent that will last ten years versus thirty on one that wont make it through one season... |

I'd take a look at Coleman Hooligan 2 Backpacking Tent .
6 to 8 lbs and about $50 |

Here is a thread http://www.trailspace.com/forums/gear-selection/topics/58089.html
I primitive camp a lot, so a good tent is important. My best tent is the Marine Combat tent. I also have a spring loaded one that self erects. AL poles are better than Fiberglas. Enjoy your trip. |
