Would you care to elaborate on what 'that long' is in days or months?

Is there some info I have overlooked?  I currently try to stay abreast of a limited amount of info by reading/subscribing to:  Max Keiser, Peter Schiff, Jim Rodgers, Gerald Celente, Jack Spirko, Lew Rockwell, Judge Andrew Napolitano, No Agenda Show, Bob Chapman, Mish, etc...

Help a prepper/brother out!

I raffed and I own up to it.  Call it foxhole humor but he's probably right on.  My neighbors actually asked me about storing fuel, food and water yesterday and they are the biggest proponents of sticking their head in the sand this side of my wife.  I was happy to talk to them about it.
Yeah we may not have that long, and what happens after "time's up" is unknown to me, but fortune favors the prepared.

Listen fella.....I have a bunch of stuff ordered that hasn't come to my doorstep yet. Not to mention there are a few 'must have' things I have to order yet.  So ease up with your doomsday predictions !!!   At least till I'm squared.

I need several years to get to where I'd be comfortable.

Really you can never feel comfortable! In a few years you will find something else you will need.

Meaning you have a big project and all that fuel will soon be used up.....not that the world is coming to an end

Prepping never ends.  As soon as you have three months of food stored away you start thinking about extending it out to a year.

As soon as you have a year's worth of food you start thinking about raising your own crops and livestock.

You've got the crops in the ground and your chickens are laying, now would be a good time to learn how to run a forge, so you can fix any broken tools.

Toss in fire wood, gennies, various fuel needs, and the unplanned appearance of another little prepper in the family, does anyone really think they will ever be "ready"?

bet you got a good work out lifting all those cans!

when you get over 10 cans, they are a bit of a pain...its a sacrifice for portability I suppose.

Please forgive my ignorance...

But what is the "shelf life" of unleaded gas within one of these cans?

Thanks

I think that depends on some variables.
1. 100% gas or an ethanol blend? I believe ethanol lowers the shelf life.
2. Are you adding sta-bil, pri-g or something else? I use sta-bil and have used gas stored for 12+ months.

Haha... I store my used gas by farting and holding the blanket over my fiance's head.

Seriously though... are there any negative consequences to using 12 month old gas (containing sta-bill) in todays motors?
