Traded a duffel bag's worth of old acus and other assorted gear for the usgi mollie vest (dcu) 2 canteen pouches, 3 double mag pouches, 2 pistol mag pouches, 2 grenade pouches and a black generic drop leg holster, think I did pretty well for myself. Should hold me over till I get some better tactical gear.

New (old) gear is always good, and fun to play with.

I dropped  aduffle full of old DCU stuff i hadd since i cam back from the sandbox and I have me $125 worth of in-store credit at the local surplus store. Plus i know the owner and he spots me with unique stuff when he gets it, specially WW2 stuff, which i use for reenacting. Hell, my ACU top (with all my MP stuff0 is on display on his wall, along with a pair of DCU boots and my old boonie hat.

Sometimes I am completely thunderstruck at what some people consider junk and throw out. To see what I mean, check and see if there is a www.freecycle.org group in your area.

A couple winters ago I scored a John Deere lawn tractor and wagon (for free) because the owner didn't want to bother paying to have it fixed. I hauled it away, replaced a $30 battery, and it started right up. There was nothing wrong with it-aside from a battery that wouldn't hold a charge

Since I have no need for a lawn tractor I donated it to my daughter's school, and they still use it today

I know all this stuff is tacticool and mostly useful, but what do you use grenade pouches for. I see them advertised all the time and cheap enough, but I don't have any grenades. ( I am not in the Hutaree militia) Is there something that will fit well in a grenade pouch?
