| I need some recommendations for a tactical pack to be used as a GHB / light BOB. It will probably live most of its life in the trunk of my car. I'm not sure what the most durable and useful packs out there are, but I've been looking at the Tactical Tailor and Spec Ops packs. |

I've had good luck with Camelbak Packs. They're well built and they have numerous models in various sizes. There are numerous Mfg's out there that make quality packs including Camelbak, Maxpedition, Kelty, Eberlesock, Tactical Tailor, 5.11, and there are the Surplus ALICE Packs, etc.
The biggest questions are going to be, how big of a pack are you looking for? What is your budget? Are you looking for a Hydation Pack, what fits you the best? Are you looking for a pack with a frame or without? etc. You might want to consider and upgrade to a Team Membership on the site which allows you full use of the Search Functions in all forums. Then you can search the Survival Gear Forums and the Tactical Gear Forums (Armory Section) for reviews and posts on the various packs that people on here have and use. The site can be a great resource and will save you money which will pay for the membership. |

That does look nice, and cheaper than I would expect. |

Maxpedition packs work great, or check out clearance items oftentimes in LA Police Gear.
That being said, determine what you need to put in them and you will know how big you need to go. Also, keep in mind that a GHB should be able to "blend-in" with the local crowds. You will not want to look like Rambo. |

I had my eye on the Vulture II, but ended up with a Condor 3 day assult pack for $77 shipped from Desert Tactical. We'll see how it holds up as I just received it yesterday. |

I have a Dana, 1800ci pack from the early 2000's. Black and grey. Looks like just a high quality day/overnight pack. Open it up though and you'll find 3 molle AR mag pouches and a molle pistol holster mounted on the front wall of the pack. Had some custom MOLLE webbing sewn into the front wall to mount those. |
