| keep spare bulbs for your heat lamp, I do, its 17 outside here now, were nw of salem in the country. open your crawlspace door if you have one inside, keep warm and good luck, we arent used to this kinda cold here in oregon. and always store your water in a more temp controlled enviroment |

i have no experience with the cold and a well, but what if you picked up two or three large fish tank heaters and put them in the well, they can be fully submerged and can be set as high a hundred degrees. just a thought The water in the well doesn't freeze. It is the water in the pipes on the surface. There is also a heater that is wrapped around the pipe itself and plugged in. The heat lamps are great because they heat the surface and not the air. I would aim the lamp at the pressure tank and let it radiate heat into the pump house. If you are dripping a faucet it shouldn't get too hot.( although at those temps it shouldn't be a problem) (shiver smilie here) |

we arent used to this kinda cold here in oregon. 1. Thank AG for inventing global warming. 2. It is not cold outside. At the request of the global warmers, the National Weather Service is massaging the data ("trickery") to demonstrate that it's actually warmer today than it was on this date last year. |
