I just ordered one of these.
http://www.lapolicegear.com/diplomat-3-day-backpack1.html If you're looking for one, this bag is really nice for the price ($29.99). |

Nice find. If I may offer up a time-tested suggestion to enhance your find. . .
A grizzled old grouchy Marine I know suggested to me once that when you get the bag shipped to you, invest a few bucks into some plumbers seal (or PVC gule.) Add the sealant to all the stitch points on the bag and where the straps meet the back of the bag. You'll enhance the strength, extend the life and even get some additional waterproofing out of the exercise. I do this with my BOB/GHBs and after 5 years of camping and various activites. . .not 1 stitch has popped. I do this with the cheapy bags I own. I do this with the pricy bags I own. I do this with most gear I own and it seems pretty sage advice. Just passing that along. |
| I hate to say it because I really like LA Police Gear but I bought one of those bags and I would not buy another. Both buckles on the shoulder straps broke and then the strap for one of the shoulder straps tore out. The bag was not used for anything really heavy and did not last 6 months. IMHO you would be better off getting a good bag once. I have a maxpedition bag and a spec-ops "The Pack" and they are MUCH better bags. I use the spec-ops bag most but feel the maxpedition is the better made of the two. |

I just looked over mine again and I could see the buckles on the shoulder straps being a weak spot but there's no way the shoulder strap on mine would tear out. They had a lot of reviews on the website almost all were positive, which is one of the reasons I decided to buy it. |
