I have some extra salt for a water softener. is there any difference between it
and regular salt besides  the lack of iodine? it seems cheap ,around .10cents a pound but
i have not priced table salt in bulk.

get iodozed salt for cooking/table  and non for pickels/saurkraut, iodine turns the veggies brown.

it is so cheap buy what works best for you application.

It is not pulverised.  That is the only difference I know of.  We use it for salt licks, brine, and salting hides because it is cheaper.
