Does any one else keep a center punch on them or in there BOB. I have had one since I came in the service. It is small and inexpensive and is easy to use to pop any windows especially those that are tempered.

I carry a Glock 30 for the same purpose. If it needs to be quieter, I probably shouldn't be doin it.

ETA, My Microtech knife I usually carry has a carbide striker on the end of it. I've never used it but the instructions say it works.

I also sould have added that it keepsfrom damageing or wasteing any weapons or ammo. Which in combat or a survival situtation is life or death if you damage or destroy your primary weapon.

Field Expedient method.  Large rocks or bricks.

I like lean and mean.  That would be one more thing to keep track of and carry around.  Weight adds up.
