Buy a radio and get on the air!

Congrats, too, I've had my ticket for about five years now.

Find you a good dual band (2 meter/ 70 cm) rig and get on the air.

Congratulations on passing your test.  Now, start studying for your general.  It is not that much harder than the tech.

Great !   Woot !

Did they send it in with your fees for your license ?

Time for a radio.   Join a local Ham radio club in your area and pay your dues.

(Mine are about $20 a year, big whoop.)

It gives me access to area repeaters and lots of other folks just like us.

Nice!

I have an ICOM IC 207-H and I really like it. Not made anymore, but I'd aim for a nice dual band like it. Have Fun!

I'll second this.  I run an Icom IC-208H in my truck.  You can find them on that auction site or sometimes in the  classifieds at eHam.
