could someone recommend a good bug out bag, I want one that's water proof and has a hydration system

I have been recommending these for years.
SWEDISH SURPLUS BACKPACK They are solid and indestructable. Upgrade the straps to ALICE straps and you are good to go. It has a slot for a cheap Walmart hydration pack. I just slip the hose from under the hood. Spray it with silicone waterproofing spray and you will never need another BOB. It is medium size, so it forces you to only carry what you need. The size helps it store well in a car backseat or trunk. Put it in a black trashbag in your car and no one will give it a second look. I bought several of them when they were under $10 each and have used it regularly. It still looks new. The cinches are metal so they will not break like the fastex plastic ones. You can tie a blanket over the top and down along the sides. |
