So I went to walmart looking for ammo (ya right, like they have any of that ins stock), but I didn't walk out empty handed. I picked up a Leatherman "Surge" mult-itool for $40, 2 Gerber knifes for $9 each, and 5 boxes of Zip lock dry big bags for $3 each box.

I only buy made in America items at Wal-Mart. Like ammo.

Wal-Mart ammo tip of the day: When you find yourself traveling for work, and you're driving through little podunk towns out in the sticks that, despite having populations of ~3,000, have a Wal-Mart. I'm 2 for 2 on "rural" Wal-Marts. At one, I didn't buy all the WWB value-packs they had because they had too many for me to buy. How do you like them apples? I figure it's a numbers game, and it only takes a few people to clean them out. Each store can get X amount of ammo. A town of 3000 probably has 2 or 3 major ammo whores trying to keep the shelves bare, and they're happy after a few months. A town of 30,000 has 20 or 30. Major metro, forget about it.

Where do you get your toilet paper? paper towels? ect?

Explain to us O high and mighty, give us a dedicated list that "YOU" looked up the final shareholders and owners and proved that the company is 100% USA owned, operated, staffed and filled with only 100% USA made goods....

oh, wait, you can't....

never mind.

*btw what type of car/truck do you drive mr. hypocrite?

While it is helpful to try to do so it is stupid (and virtually impossible) in my opinion to say "don't by non USA made products"....

waiting for your good "how to" post instead of a bunch of bitching/whining/belittling over it....

I stopped and looked @ one of those the other day and I thought it was over priced.  Maybe the one they had out was a bad example, but man it was all wobbly and looser then a $2.

I don't know if they still do, but for a while (5-8 yrs ago) the Win 9mm 100 VPs were being made by S&B.

Just wait until the blet clip falls off.  Hopefully you find the screws when it happens.

I've carried one for over two years and have not lost the belt clip...yet.  My wife noticed I liked it so much she got me another CRKT for a birthday present last year.  I'm going to have to check our Walmart to see if they are on sale here, too.

Lifesaver, that's good to hear.  I have had 2 CRKTs and both had the clip fall off.    Maybe the knife Gods just frown on me...

I'm wondering what kind of computer and monitor he is using to access this forum...I don't see to many 100% made in the USA PCs these days.    Nothing wrong with buying stuff made over seas.  IMO, in the long term, "coddling" the domestic industry does more harm to their competitiveness than anything else.  Well, other than the fact that they have to send 50%, or more, of their profits to Fedzilla....

About 4 years ago, when the 40rd bulk packs of Win + Rem 223 were first starting to dry up, co-worker and I hit every WallyWorld on I-40 between Tulsa and about Flagstaff and cleaned em out.

More than a few were already dry though

I scored at Wal-Mart tonight

My WalMart bargain Isle (in sporting goods) had A MagLite 2D Cell and 2AA Mini Mag pack for ...get this...$7.50.

Two Isles over are the 4.88 3LED upgrade kits for the AA MiniMag.

So for about $18.00/each I got a 2D and MIni Mag for each car, the upgrade and batteries, one for each car.

Red Locktite. I've had mine for 5+ years, sharpened dozens of times and is still going strong. I did however notice into the third year of use that the screws got a bit loose. The Locktite has held them tight ever since and I use my knife every day. Heck, I've tried to kill the thing and it won't die. A great knife for the money.

I have been using their knifes for YEARS! Never had one single problem...

and if you read the manual (just like a firearm...MAINTENANCE IS A MUST)

Do:
1. DO keep the cutting edge sharp. A cutting tool works better and is safer to use when it is sharp.
2. DO regularly clean the blade with mild soap and water and apply a light coat of machine oil or Tuf-Cloth™. Stainless steels “stain less” but still may corrode without care.
3. DO periodically lubricate the blade pivot area of any folding knife. Although many CRKT knives feature Teflon® bearings, a drop of lubricant will clean the blade pivot area and help the blade open and close more smoothly and safely.
4. DO periodically check the tightness of the blade pivot area and the frame fasteners of any folding knife with the appropriate screwdriver, Allen™ or Torx® wrench. Given time and hard use, all screws can loosen slightly.
