Ok I live in a tiny apartment. I am trying to stock up on some stuff. Canned goods, ammo and other stuff. Not having a lot of room, which canned good would you get? Or just what food in general?

I also live in an apartment and with 2 kayaks, camping gear etc space is a premium. I would highly advise dehydrating. You cannot store more food pound for pound with dehydrating. Cheap and easy to do.

What kind of long term storage are you looking for? 1 month? 3 months? 6 months?

how many mouths are you feeding? what is your budget like? It matters. I also live in an apartment and just physically can't spare the space for 2 years worth of canned goods for two people. I had to dial back my expectations to something more doable with the space constraints given.

Buy what you normally eat. Look around, you'll find somewhere to put it, 4-5" platform shelf on the floor of closets, put shoes ,stuff on top, whole layer of cans under it. You'll just have to come up w/ a system for rotation.
