Not exactly a group whose plans and opinions I put much stock into. They've got serious money, though, and enough members to turn the money into power. More likely to end up being a threat then an ally, IMHO, but either way anybody who builds a 22,000 sf bunker with its own airstrip is going to be a serious local power in the event of SHTF. |

My point is simply that I do not consider the Church of Scientology to be a reliable predictor of future events. That they are building another bunker doesn't concern me. (They already have underground vaults containing Hubbard's writings etched in titanium plate.) I wouldn't take their plans into consideration any more than I would listen to Aum Shinrukyu or Heaven's Gate in planning my preps. Obviously if you live next door to them their actions take on a whole new meaning. If you need reason to doubt their rationality: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenu |

Besides, where will they get tiny tactical gear that would fit him? |

Tom was a M-16 toting, hard core cadet.....the runway, will be so JohnTravola can land his Boeing 707 -138 |

Scientology has a serious security apparatus in place. Their bldgs. at the headquarters here in Clearwater are quite formidable. They'd remind you of govt buildings in DC more than anything. Start snapping pictures in their vicinity and you'll be approached very quickly by some of thier plainclothes security people. And the gun culture is not under-represented among it's followers. Anyone ever heard of FrontSite? I've always assumed that part of their religion/business involves some serious SHTF planning. |
Hope this helps.......

Yeah, I'm with you there. They are going to sue both of you.
I'm more worried about them sending Tom Cruise out after me. http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll221/ferreed/tomcruisekillsoprah.gif Poor Oprah. i LOLed. he must be like a level 78 scientologist. |

i LOLed. he must be like a level 78 scientologist. Nah. Clearly his Thetan Levels are OVER 9000! And forget Scientology. Let them spend more money burying hubbards crummy sci/fi drivel. It's exactly where it belongs, locked away for all time. The only downside is that thousands of years from now archeologists might dig that crap up and conclude our entire civilization feared that Xenu might break free of his frozen glycol prison and once again destroy the denizens of the galaxy by dropping them in Teegiak's (Earth's) volcanoes along with hydrogen bombs. -Local |

Good link. Thanks. Yeah, I think it doesn't take an OT Level VIII to realize these folks are not to be taken seriously. |

L Ron Hubbard is an idiot, Scientology is stupidity, anyone building vaults in LA which is going underwater is pissing money away, In my opinion. I wouldn't be too concerned about the neighbors, unless your water goes dry. I think they should pay big bucks to get that fella to a new BOL. |

Public planners in southwest Wyoming's Sweetwater County — a sagebrush expanse roughly the size of Massachusetts — say the contractor hired for the project has told them it intends to build a 22,000-square-foot underground storage vault to store documents.
22,000 sq.ft. - there's homes that big not too far from here. Doesn't seem like much of a compound to be all worked up about. Not much happens in Wyoming so this passes for big news? We've built a handful of +1,000,000 sq.ft. warehouses in my little town and FOX news wasn't out covering it.

that is pretty good, concise, to the point, their own words. |

regardless of ones opinion about any group, to not see what is coming down the line within a few short years at most is ignorance and denial....
The Scientology folks are a whacked out indeed on many levels, dont get me wrong about that, but anyone of us needs only pay attention to know the world is about to go through something 100x worse than 1930s |
