Today's blog talks about the use of cell phone jammers and provides a link to a sales site. A little googling shows this site may sometimes charge your credit card without shipping any product.

I ordered the jammer on 30-Mar and my credit card was charged on 30-Mar. The charge on the credit card was under the name 'MC VT ELECTRONICS LONDON'. On the website it states that they will provide a 'tracking number' for any shipment over $250 USD.

So on 3-Apr (4 days later) I email asking for a tracking number. On 5-Apr I had not heard anything so I emailed again asking for the tracking number. THEN on 9-Apr, they responded with a 'tracking number' from 'parcel force'. So, don't be misled thinking that the FedEx logo on their website is some indication that they will be shipping via FedEx.

I check the website with the 'tracking number' and it only idicates that it was 'passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in UNITED STATES OF AMERICA'. So I have no idea if this is my actual shipment or not. Also in the email he indicates 'normally goods take 3-10 days - can take up to 28 days in peak season.'... Last time I checked, December is a 'peak season' but April hardly is.

On 19-Apr I email again stating that the package hasn't arrived. He does reply on 19-Apr and says I need to 'check with the post office'. I go to the post office and they tell me that the tracking number isn't valid. So today is 23-Apr and the package still hasn't arrived. Tomorrow I am going to file a request for a refund on my purchase since I can't get any assurances that the package has actually shipped to my address.

Also be aware that this company does business under the other web addresses of: MobilePhoneJammer.com

Be carefull buying jammers it's possible that US Customs seized his illegal package.

Indeed, they aren't exactly legal to use unless you are gov't/have the right paperwork.
