Built as a survival bag for Americas elite special operations forces, the S.O.Tech Go Bag is cylindrically shaped for easy access and extraction from a downed aircraft or burning Humvee. The Go Bag's shoulder strap is tactically worn over one shoulder and around the waist to give users quick access by rotating the bag from the back to the front of the waist.
The main double zippers are mounted internally towards the body incase of zipper blowout during vehicle impact. It is fitted to a Special Forces load list of survival gear, rations, radios, medical gear, and ammunition. The Go Bag is also featured in a major motion picture released in July 2007. The Go Bag is comprised of:

- A main compartment with double linked zippers (dimensions: 20' x 8' x 8')
- Internal hydration reservoir slot (canteen not included)
- 4 zippered flat side pockets for small items or documents
- 3 larger zippered external pockets (dimensions: 5.5' x 5' x 3')
- MOLLE/PALS attachment webbing on both sides
- Padded contour single shoulder strap with quick-ditch side locking buckle
- Shoulder attachment points and carrying handles on each end
- Made in the U.S. out of military grade cordura cloth down to the webbing and fasteners to specifications of U.S. Special Forces

Standby for update....I've been thinking about getting the extended version.  I'ts a couple inches longer and I'm hoping it will accommodate a side folder.  Standby for pics and review.  I will order from SKD.  They have a good selection.  Give me about a week.

I have this version in kahki. Its about 2" short of comfortably holding a 16" M4gery. Nice bag, I got my rifle into it but it needs a few more inches of length to be top notch.

I have seen  & played with the  LARGE or Extended version.  Its a great bag. The two front pouched carry  3 - 30 round mags , the  inside had  a lower & a 16' upper inside the padded dividers. There are a couple of inside pockets &  MOLLE attachements outside. Very well made.

my wife has a backpack that uses the same strap idea.  w/ one strap crossing your chest at an angle, it's supposed to be more ergonomically correct and distribute the weight better.  my wife's backpack is about 2000 cubic inches (medium sized pack) and i've worn the packed completely stuffed w/ heavy books and what not and it was comfortable.  i was just walking on pavement, so i can't tell you how it'd work in an actual off pavement hiking scenario.

I cannot see why a person would not simply use a backpack, and only one strap if so desired. At least you have the option for 2 straps right there if needed.

One guy had a version of this at the BOD here in Texas.  Looked like it would function rather well.

I've got the standard/small one (not the larger model). It holds My Krink, MP5K/PDW, and 4 mags for each with out even using any of the external pockets. I use mine as a range bag a lot. I also used it to hold my 10.5" SBR (upper and lower separated) and some other things to make a very effective GHB during the days after the elections. I'm actually thinking of putting it back together (contents) and putting it back in my truck as a GHB. less the rifle this time.

I would think it would make a good occasional bag, but for something you carry far, I personally would prefer 2 straps.

DOes anyone have this bag? Nice - but it looks  floppy..not real stiff/firm. Does it have some sort of stiffner in there? If not- once its loaded it will bend!  Anyone?

Actually designed for a broke-down AR or folder AK, and available in "fun" civilian colors that don't look so James Bond.

And a 16" barrel with roughly 1" of non-permanently attached A2 FS sticking past the barrel's crown, mounted on an 7 1/4" long AR upper receiver, is going to have 24"-25" OAL.

Pretty sure any sports store has something that will accomidate a broken down 16in for
less than $30.

Also, it could Say "ADIDAS" on the side, and not attract near the attention.

I have one, payed less then $40 for it.  IMO, I thought it was to small for a BOB for me.  My daughter on the other hand uses it as her BOB, she's 12.  Perfect for her.  I first saw the bag on the SF guys in the movie Transformers. Good construction, but can't get much in it. YMMV

I would love one if I could get a SRB AR or undefolders AK in one of these.

Be sure to ask Santa why some people think people who like guns are idiots. The ATF didn't raid them for possible weapons violations, they raided them so they don't inflict any more stupid videos on us.

Lemme guess, you also think "Infidel" apparel and Terrorist Hunting Permits are the pinnacle of humor.

Take a look over at Lightfighter.com. You'll have join to see the pics put up there. In the "Stud Board" section of the forum there are a couple of threads with good detailed pictures.
One member has his 16" upper that does fit in the SOTECH extended version but it's cozy and by that I mean it is pushing up on the fabric at the end of the bag. It looks like SOTECH has reinforced the end to add additional strength to it.

Oh this I know.

1) They lack a sense of humor.  If you can't see the paradoy of a 1950esq commercial then your soul is lost.

2) They are in their own reality and don't want to be disturbed.

In any event it doesn't change the fact you lack a sense of humor and an appreciation of the 1st Admendment.
