Well we raised a bit of Flint corn this year because a fellow had told me how great it was for corn meal. He also mentioned that you put it in the oven and browned it "a bit" prior to grinding.
Could anyone give me a bit more information than that?

That is a new one to me.
You do want it to be thoroughly dry before grinding. Maybe that is what he is accomplishing by browning it?
