Um....wow. I am not going to comment on any thoughts of various possibilities, but just...wow.

zero-op.com/mercenary

The Mercenary is the first of its kind: A robotic paintball turret that can track and shoot at players without any human operator. An on-board computer processes real-time video, acquires targets using motion and color processing, and then tracks them using predictive logic techniques. Players can interact with The Mercenary by setting options through an on-board LCD display, or through an interactive target. User adjustable settings include: rate of fire, burst modes, turret aggression, and scenario modes. One scenario includes team-based play by use of colored jerseys.

Now, if only that guy could get some design engineers to modify a full auto 10-22  and use it upside down
that loads .22LR ammo via a tumbler like this:

Wouldn't need to be full auto. With Mechanical acuation of the trigger you could achieve full auto results from a semi ... Ahhh the marvels of computer controlled timing....

The whole mess would DEFINATLY be a Post 86 Machine gun though.

Just beef it up for the recoil and you're GTG.

Of course, the addition of any electrical system to fire a semi-auto could be construed as constructive intent since full auto is a few system commands away.

Yeah, because no one ever thought of hooking a camera and computer to a gun until I posted in this thread...

Hey ever think of hooking a cordless drill to a gatling gun???

wow, my company would give that guy some funds for sure if I knew how to get a hold of him.  I see some good engineering and would go out on a limb with some capital for him.
