lets say someone had a woodlot and couldnt cut up his own wood..
lets say someone put an add in local paper stating.

free cord of wood for a cord of wood.

cut up 2 cords of wood, one for you one for me. only cost your labor.
would you go for it?

If I had a hypothetical wood burning stove, I'd go for it.  Both parties would come out ahead.  One would get a cord of wood cut for free.  The other gets a free cord of wood.

How much hypothetical wood can a hypothetical woodchuck hypothetically chuck,
if a hypothetical woodchuck could hypothetically chuck hypothetical wood?

If it has to be split, I would do it IF I had a logsplitter or the party agreed to split the rental and gas for one.

I will split my own wood by hand- but damm 2x the splitting for the same amount would suck.

big +1 exactly what I was thinking but if you don't have anywhere to cut wood it beats the hell out of buying it, for some at any rate.

I am currently looking to buy a wood burning stove.  In my area, the thought of having preps on hand is considered absurd, so I'd probably be the only guy that took you up on this.  ...But i would keep cutting, cord after cord, until you told me to stop.
