I just found 4 MH meals that have been stored in a very hot garage for about 6 months. They were purchased approx 2 yrs ago. I am assuming they are safe to eat but I want to ask those with more experience than I with MH meals. I will be eating them this week. Thanks in advance for the advice.

As long as the package has not been opened, you are good to go. Freeze dried meals will last until the next ice age. I have eaten many different MH menus and they are pretty good. Especially Beef Stoganoff.

Now, I have opened packs of it to look at the contents and resealed them. A few years later they just did not taste all that great to me. Kinda stale. Keep them sealed and they will last for many years regardless of where you store them.

The expiration dates/proper storing are meant to protect the company's reputation, mostly.

You might find they have lessened in taste, but that the difference is slight with no chance they went "bad".

I ate the the Mac and Cheese and the spaghetti. Mac and cheese was a little crunchy even after I let it sit for 20 minutes. The taste was very good. The spaghetti was just like a fresh pack. No difference that I could tell.
