| I've got the original FUBAR in every vehicle, 1 of the smaller ones is in my truck as well. That Dead On bar is pretty tempting though, and I think it's lighter than the FUBAR. As for my BOB/GHB, I don't pack one away, but there is one available to grab if the situation warrants. |

I saw a picture of one of those things posted here and went out and got one. I've already used it and it packs a hearty punch. Good deal on starting your gear bag! Good luck with assembling your kit. If you think you might need something, just get it while the getting is still pretty good. The situation is deteriorating rapidly. Use your precious time and money wisely and you will be a victor instead of a victim. |
often they are used in demolition work. they also have a hammer function, both nailing and pulling. the toothed opening works to allow you to straighten a 2x4 when it's twisted/warped and you need to nail it. in a vehicle, they would obviously function to break windows to aid in evacuation. |

if you haven't seen the fubar or the dead on, definately go to home depot in the tools section and check them out! The fubar has a demo hammer, a claw, a pry bar and a nail remover built in. The dead on has those, plus a chisel end and (according to the packaging) a bottle opener[%|. I weighed the pros and cons of each. The fubar is heavier, longer, and has an angled end, making it hard to pack. However, the angled end would be better for prying an outward opening door. The dead on has a chisel end and no angle, which makes it less efficient for prying, but it is lighter and smaller, making it more compact. The fubar was $39 whereas the dead on was $29. |
