This probably belongs in GD but some of yall don't venture there and I thought some if not everyone would appreciate this. Notice the date. As I was thumbing through I noticed there are NO internet addresses. Kinda goes to show younger folk (like myself) how the word was spread back in the day.

that is a nice find. I made the same find last year at a gunshow. your copy looks in better condition than mine, but I was happy to find one.

I love stuff like that! I like to look through the adds. Every once in a while I find an old 1960's magazine. Very curious to say the least.

What's funny is finding the issue of Survive and the issue of American Survival Guide that came out the same month with almost exactly the same picture on the front of both of them.

Somebody got some butt-chewing out of that, I bet.

I miss American surval Guide, it was a good magazine. Every issue had an article about troubleshooting and repair of a common firearm.

Oh man, I remember that magazine. Wasnt that the one Robet Brown over at Soldier of FOrtune put out? As I recall the most famous cover was the one with the cow in the gas mask.

Brown did Survive, ASG startedas Shooter's Guide, I had the whole series except my ex threw it out in a fit of mean. It got real PC i n the end.

I've got a few of those SOF- Survive magazines. Some are decent for reference while other's are pretty entertaining, especially the cover photos.

Here's another magazine that I've got in my collection. Practical Survival. Best I can tell it was only published for two years. One reference says there was a total of six issues printed while another says eight. These were pretty decent for the time.
