I have been wondering this same thing. Ever since the start of this season I have been waiting for the, "You took an oath to the UNITED STATES of America, not some allied states." I don't really understand why this hasn't come up. It seems so obvious. |

To defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic. So let me get this straight now: 1. Jennings and Rall are not directly responsible for the attacks. 2. A high placed employee of J&R and high position government officials carried it out in hopes of reforming the country away from their influence. So, who exactly are these conspiracy guys working for? Themselves? They don't care what comes out in the wash as long as they finish off Jennings and Rall?  So to save the country (in their opinion) they felt it was necessary to destroy it? That is what is going on right? ------------------------------------------- So, does Jake and Hawkins now have to expose them and stop the explosion. However, that will not stop J&R from trying to take over the country and we will have an American civil war. Wow. I mean either they let J&R be taken out causing possibly one million people to die or they risk the next American Civil War that could cause just as many if not more to die. On the one hand you can't let these conspiracy guys get away with this and on the other you don't want to keep J&R in play. Damn tough choices they'll have to make. |

The preview for the finale implied it will continue though: "beginning of the next American Civil War." Regarding the post above me. The primary duty of the .mil is to protect and defend the Constitution. By wearing a foreign and illegal flag and "A.S. Army" patches, they are committing treason per se. |

| Tonight's show was pretty good. I especially liked that Hawkins got fired up and is going after the guy on the cell phone since he figured out exactly who he is. Based on next week's previews, the plot and pace of the show should pick up quite a bit. My bet is that Beck will join the Ranger's ranks to save the day when all seems lost! |

Well, they are still calling next week the SEASON finale as opposed to the SERIES finale. Unfortunately, I don't think they will be able to keep up the fast tempo of this season. Av. |

| One of my buddies at work said he read that they already filmed a series finale, and it will depend on the ratings, or I guess if SciFi wanted to buy it. I do agree that this season should of had about 12 episodes leading up to this point. I think CBS filmed these last episodes believing this was it. I realize the ratings are down compared to what it pulled last year, but does anyone know what CBS actually expected it to pull? For all we know it could be right in line with what they expected. |
| Ok, so now for the first time I'm kind of confused. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Jericho and hope it comes back. So what happened last night, did we find out the double crossers got double crossed? Did the "voice" double cross J&R to expose them and purposely left one nuke behind to expose J&R and the new government? If he could track the nukes, more then likely, as he said, he was the one who pulled trigger setting them off. So, please tell me if I'm wrong, this entire series is based on one VERY disgruntled employee? |
| I dvr'd it and watched the last 15 min. again this morning. With about 10 min. to go one commercial said "next week, Jericho Series Finale". At the end of the show the commercail said " next week Jericho Season Finale". I'm guessing CBS don't know what they want to do but want to keep all options open. CBS never gave this show a decent chance. Last season they took the long break in the middle of the season and this season was started to late. It's a shame if they dump it this way. |
| Maybe it's just me, but I have a problem with last nights show. I don't like the way they portray Beck and the military. The whole thing with martial law, cutting power, food, water, depraving sleep just doesn't sit well with me. I think the polictical message could have gone in another direction. No need to make the military look bad. I'm guessing Beck becomes a hero, but last night just didn't sit well with me. |

So, anybody think we should get a set of Season 1 and Season 2 DVDs and send it to US Supreme Court for a case study of what the Second Amendment means? Perhaps with a copy of Red Dawn too? I really hope this is not the end d the show but if a show like this does not have the popularity to keep it alive and we all love it, just realize how small of a percentage we must be in the big picture. Sometimes we feel powerful on here with our ability to crush polls or have 50,000 members online at once but out of a total 350,000,000 we are a minority. A small minority at that and it worries me for what the future may bring. The best thing that could happen for our rights, and I sure as hell hope it does not happen, is for Osama to send in boys to start shooting the country up. People would learn that the police can not protect everyone and that self preservation must be an individual responsibility. I am disappointed that Jericho is ending as it really is the only show on TV that I watch  |

It wasn't just you. I felt the same way. Before last night, I partly liked Beck. During and after, I thought he should be strung-up for doing what he did to Jericho. And then I started to wonder if this wasn't some typical hollyweird agenda to portray our troops as terrorizers. At any rate, out-gunned or not, were my town being treated as Beck and his men treated Jericho (insurgent haven), then they'd just create more insurgents. I wouldn't sit idle while my town was being treated as such. You wanna label me as an insurgent, then I might as well be guilty of the crime... Hope Hawkins get his hands around the neck of the double-crosser. Looks like Jake gets to fly again from the previews. Of course, one second I see a Cessna piston twin, then Citation jet, and then I see some F-15's escourting a Lear (I think it was, can't remember). So in typical sloppy hollywood fashion, they'll change jets between scenes (one of my pet peeves). |

Just watched last night's episode, and was amused at Jake's grandfather's line about "global warming" making all of the deer go north. Besides that, I thought it was pretty good. Seems like we'll get another season, looking at the previews. |

I was wondering how many of the characters they would kill off before the end of the season/series. The killed off Bonnie, Jake's dad, and I was wondering if Jake's mom would ever come back before last night.  Hey scully. Did they fill you in on the story of that 8th ID patch? The colors and design elements all have meaning. The blue field represents the ocean you had to fly over to get there, the 8 represents the 8 hours it took you to fly there, and the arrow represents the shaft you got when you arrived there.  I was in the 8th ID from 1979-1981. |

The "Voice" was someone that believed that J&R had gained to much influence and become too powerful. The "Voice" working for J&R drew up the nuclear attack plan with their money and then carried it out with aid from government officials like Valenta (spelling? bald old dude). Whether Valenta knew about the true purpose of the attacks remains unclear. The "Voice" is now using the ASA military to unknowingly delivery a nuclear bomb to the heart of J&R where it can be blown up by him and finish off J&R. It's unclear at this point what the "Voice" hopes to see happen after J&R is gone. What kind of America he wants is unclear, but it is clear that he doesn't want J&R to be a part for whatever the future holds of America. |

So Hawkins wanted to take the nuke to Texas to get it analyzed, and prove the conspiracy. The voice wants to nuke Cheyenne to get rid of J&R. The question because where will the colonel side, he's starting to come around. Also I'm wondering if this "Hudson River Virus" wasn't some sort of weaponized virus released by J&R to further cut down resistance. Notice they had the vaccine already and all their employees got vaccinated. It appears that no one is really trying to stop the spread. I've also been contemplating an alliance between New Bern and Jericho to take on the AS army. Somehow that seems rather doubtful. If the nuke goes off in Cheyenne, that is probably bad news for everyone. I'm thinking the east is probably pretty weak from the nukes and the virus. Texas might be the best strong point, but they got a couple nukes themselves. |

Remember, CBS did this to the fans last season, the fans bitched em out, & they brought it back for 7 more, they said at that time , the next 7 episodes would be it...but CBS said next weeks episode was the "season finale" which means they might bring it back...yep we are going to have to start bitching up a storm to get it back...but the fans have to do their part, again ........ Next week CBS will bring Jericho to a climax, then end the season......I think CBS learned that they can't be stupid, if your gonna end a show then end it, don't leave everyone hanging & wanting more... this time 80 tons of "NUTS"

| I think the major networks haven't realized this isn't 20 years ago where shows have large audiences. Now when everyone has on average of 60-200+ TV channels (all with nothing on) and the internet you simply cannot get a large, and loyal audience for a long period of time. All of the stupid reality TV shows do really well in their first season and then most of them go away after that (with a few exceptions like Survivor and American Idol.. And I REALLY wish those would go away!). How many shows have come and gone in the past few years? Their always looking for that next ratings blockbuster but they aren't finding it. |

I mean...I wonder if the writers have an agenda...like, if Jake says, "Screw 'em!" will they be deluged with condoms? If they end it with Jake saying, "I'm Out," will an ammo fort be sent??? This COULD get interesting!

So, Ok, hopefully there isn't one more episode left in the series. This show is way too good for that. On another note, did anyone notice Richard Speight Jr's character when they went and stole the goods from the transports? His character is Bill. The one wearing the ACUs sporting the name "Muck". Flashback to Band of Brothers and who does Speight play? None other than Sgt. Skip Muck from the 101. Just a little irony that caught my eye. Mike |

I think the BEST way to support the show is to watch the episodes from the live streaming on their website. You watch the shows, it has ads, probably generates revenue and ratings for CBS. You can start the episode and wander off, and then start another one. If you have multiple computers, you can do 2+ episodes at the same time. In this manner you could really increase the traffic that the Jericho streaming is experiencing. Too bad it looks like there will only be 1-2 episodes left, ever. You can also click on the ads on the video streaming page to get them some hits that way. |

Cheyenne could view a nuclear attack as a move by the United States or Texas against them sparking off a second nuclear war, which the country couldn't survive. I'm not sure about the Hudson River virus yet. It was a strategy of the Russians to follow a nuclear strike with a biological one to clean-up anyone they missed (if they still had the missiles and ability to do it). However, the virus could have just been the result of so many dead people on the east coast. Hard to say. Sounds like the East Coast is really bad shape and may have not had the ability like Cheyenne to develop a vaccine. Texas will save the day folks. |

hey all did anyone also see that turtltaub was in this episode? i dont know if it was actually him or not. After jake refused to sign the paper beck offered him,it's in scene where the soldiers are deploying in town to prepare for the water elec etc..... shutoff. a soldier is wearing turtltaub on his uniform.thought it was kind of neat and wondered if anyone else caught it? jaat13 |
