Does anyone know of any reliable internet pharmacies? I`d like to build up a 90-180 day supply of my BP med.  I don`t trust the e-mail sdolicitations. Thanks in advance.

You are much better off if you can convince your regular doctor to write a prescription for a 60 or 90 day supply with a couple of refills.

Assuming you are using insurance  - Even if you dr writes a 90 rx w/ refills the pharmacy will can only refill it after you are close to using up that supply.. The insurance wont pay until its time for a refill

If you want an extra supply - ask your dr for some samples.. They get them free and my doc has given me from 7 days up to 60 days worth of freebies..

IF you are using a generic BP meds - you can also check walmart for their $4 rx deal.. If you want the $4 deal, you CAN NOT tell them you have insurance though - If you do they will run it through the insurance (they get more money that way).. just ask your dr to write several rx's and shop them at different pharmacies (although Im not sure if or how legal this is)..

good luck

This is what I did but it will take some time to accomplish.  Doesnt help if the SHTF soon but
can help.  My insurance wont let me get a new script until you are close to the old one running out.
What I did is start at 1 day before the script runs out and refill.  Take the extra pill and set
it aside.  The next week I did it 2 days before.  I got to 5 days before the insurance said something.  SO
Now 5 days before I run out  I go and get my refills.  It took a little while but now I have a 3 months
supply of my daily meds.

To assure rotation i have the bottles marked.  New bottle goes in the stash and the oldest bottle
comes out.  Good luck,

I get my doc to write my meds on a 90 day with refills.  Then what I do to build some up is get them refilled earlier than normal.  If you do that several times in a row you can eventually build up a nice reserve...

I know this is probably a new concept... but if you were willing to buy from Canada, Mexico, or India... why not pay cash for that extra 3-4 month prescription?

Just take it to a pharmacy you haven't been to before, sign the privacy agreement as declined, and pay cash.

Yeah, it might cost more than you would pay from overseas.  But you will have a reasonable suspicion that the prescriptions you obtain in a domestic pharmacy actually contain the drugs indicated.

Do not post links to overseas pharmacies.  Buying prescription drugs overseas without a prescription is illegal and these sites are a CoC violation.  The thread will be locked.  Tj

I know of a guy whose toddler flushed his pills down the toilet.

The guy had to call his doctor and explain what happened so that he could get a new presciption and replace his missing meds.

No, I dont.  Prescription meds isnt the thing you want to buy over the internet - too many counterfeit meds out there.

My standard advice:

1.  Talk to the pharmacist and find out what sizes the med comes in factory packed.

2.  Get your doc to write a separate script for whatever quantity #1 is.

3.  Get it filled, pay cash.  Ask the pharmacist to leave it in the factory bottle.

4.  Store in a cool, dry, dark place.  Keep an eye on the expiration date, use it before it expires, get another supply filled.

another common one is leaving them in a jacket or pants pocket and having them thrown in the washing machine

If it is a maint med your doc Dr. and RPh should be fine with what you are doing.  I would present your SHTF speech as a natural disaster (Katrina) or basically anything but zombies.
