Gotta couple of questions in regards to choosing a BOL.

I understand that my primary BOL is actually a Bug IN Location, my home, and I am in the
process of trying to purchase rural land, not just as a secandary BOL, but because that's
where I want to be.  Bearing in mind that fixed structures are identifiable targets as they
contain valuables, and public tax records mean that anyone is findable, I understand the
desire for a tirtiary BOL.  I also see posts in the SF from members that have
super-secret-secret-Squirel BOLs that are aparently in or on locations they don't actually own.

What the hell is up with that?  Is it possible?  Practical?  How do you secure your preps?
(Besides they guy who sank his in the swamps - I'm a reformed Coon Ass myself)  Or are all
these people just full of Vaca Caca?

So, every piece of property has a tax record.

Come SHTF, not too many bad guys are smart enough to be able to access that data. (if they can at all)

Chances are, you will be a target of opportunity from some sort of mindless roving gang of shit heads.

Pirates didn't care where they buried their treasure.  They just buried it, made a map and came back to it when they needed it .  I've camped in a couple of places that I could see using as a BOL.  I don't know how permanent it would end up being but I could probably hold out for a good amount of time as long as no one else knew about it/stumbled across it.

Agreed, just making the point that there are valid reasons to have fall back positions.  The roving gang of shitheads threat was actually the first reason I cited, though not quite so elloquently as you.  I am in good company.

They didn't have bulldozers and strip malls and the Bureau of Land Mismanagement to contend with.
