I've found that a Western Mountaineering sleeping bag in a stuff sack fits very well with all my other gear into a Kelty 50L black backpack that can fit into the overhead bin of an airplane very easily. It also fits under the seat with all my stuff inside it. Anyone else have similar experiences?

Yeah, I've been trying a Jacks-R-Better Sierra Stealth quilt that can be used like a blanket, a sleeping bag and worn as insulation. Being treated down is a great option and it compresses to a little larger than a softball...not bad for a 40 degree rating. ROCK6 |
