Not sure if its a dupe or not.

Just found this today.  Looks like a new edition.  I went ahead and ordered two copies...Good to have an extra; and every time I lend out a copy...it never seems to find its way back home!!

Any who, thought I would share.  Still cheaper than the $35-$40 elsewhere on the net.

I've got an autographed copy from 4 years back.  I must have loaned it to over a half-dozen people by now.  I can't imagine home many times the value has increased by now.

There's some good info in that book but the story line is corny.

I found it an interesting read but probably won't read it again.

I agree.  The economic collapse stuff at the beginning was very good because it seemed really plausible.  Then it turned into a survival group wet dream.  Everyone had put all their money into preps for years . . . I won't go on because I don't want to spoil anything for the unwashed who've not read it yet.

Don't get me wrong, it was a good read and I finished pretty quick.

Yea, I just finished reading it. It had some good info for sure, took me 2 days to read it. But the story and some of the occurances were just waaay out there, kind of corny I agree.

I'm a bit more than halfway through the book.  Certainly good info.

The book's description of bugout from Chicago was realistic enough to give me flashbacks to the Rita bugout that I and my family went through.  I especially like the dual stories of people who left Chicago early and people who left with the crowd.  It played out just like Rita (except the late group didn't get ambushed with Rita)

Just finished re-reading it a 2nd time. Good read.
Am currently reading Unintended Consequences. That book is really making me paranoid!

Rita was fun, wasn't it?

I bugged out 9PM on Tuesday. Suffice it to say, no traffic and I was in Tenn by the time all hell broke loose.

Learned a lot in that one. And the ol' lady won't ever second guess my hunches again. :)
