| I currently use Snow Seal and it works well for me. Does anyone have another favorite? |

Huberd's Shoe Grease http://www.huberds.com/catalog/item/2499186/1945049.htm "Since 1929 The original pine tar and beeswax waterproofer/conditioner for leather goods. Manufactured using the finest of oils and waxes. Contains no animal fats or tallow, preserver additives, or synthetic compounds, so will not cause deterioration of threads or undue stretching of leather." "Sold under an absolute money-back guarantee" Huberd Shoe Grease Co. McMinnville, Oregon I was riding a motorcylce back from Alaska at the end of my vacation about 15 years ago. It started raining and it continued for days and it was cold. My leathers were soaked, and none of the Wally World type leather dressings did much for long (they were a joke). Rain suits I had were shredded from the wind. I was wet, cold, and miserable, and nothing but days of cold, wet, riding to look forward to (4,000 miles each way). And I had to keep riding as my vacation was over and I had to get back to work. Stopped at a western/general store and saw a can of this stuff. Used it on my jacket and chaps and gloves and boots and the stuff worked. I had heavy duty leathers and I stayed warm and dry the rest of the trip. It saved my rear end. I have never seen a better leather dressing, before or since. Inexpensive. May change the color of your leather. Also, the stuff is such a good cleaner, it will pull some of the dye out of the leather and this may mark stuff up when you rub on it, at least it did with my black leathers. No chemicals. Easy to apply, just smear it on with your fingers or a rag. The leather soaks it right up. Available at shoe and boot repair places, saddle and tack shops, and other places. Hope this helps. |
