I bought a bunch of those ex-Israeli gas cans a while back from CTD.  I need some more cans now.

I will pay full price for MFC's if I have to, but would prefer to get a deal more like the Israeli cans.

Where is the best place to buy gas cans right now?  Both steel and MFC type?

Sportsmans Guide has the steel cans for about $15.  I have had poro success with MFCs sealing at the cap unless I use a strap wrench on them.

Yeah, but those aren't tacti-cool nylon ninja surplus jerry cans made by Kifaru.

But seriously, have you used these?  Or did you just find the link?  Are they better quality than the Blitz cans?  How well do they seal?

FYI - My local PepBoys had Septre 5 gallon gas cans for about 18 bucks.

They were *not* MFC design or exact style but they were made rather well and much more sturdy that your typical "5 gallon" can.

Majors Surplus has used MFC for a pretty decent price. I have not purchased from them but many have and the general consensus seems to be good so long as you understand that they are used and buying 1-2 extra for parts isn't a bad idea. IIRC they were $10/ea

I get 1-2 good condition jerry cans from Goodwill each month or so.

Picked up 4 good condition 20L cans from SG a while back.

I cleaned up the outside with wire brush pad and acetone/rag and then refinished the outside. (black enamel primer coat, then red top coat)

They look "brand new" and I rinsed them out with some gas a few times. (poured the gas out of the cans and into a coffee filter and then into my lawn mower)

The are nice and tight and I rotate the fuel into our vehicles twice a year.

I have 4 of them up at the cabin as well and gave a few to some inlaws. They like the idea of having an extra 10-15gal of gas "just in case".
