Does anybody make them? It needs to fit a civilian type 5000ci pack.

I'd settle for a solid drab color- o.d., khaki, etc.

I carried a small backpack when I'd use my hunting stands,
but the pack was yellow.  I bought some camo material at
a Wal Mart in the fabric department, and sewed it to make a decent
camo cover, but the fabric wasnt waterproof.  You might try
a camo USGI poncho lashed on.

Like Protus said, making your own may well be the best way to go. It's easy to do with an old poncho and tarp, and some latex bands or bunjee cording. Think 'big shower cap'.

If you want to make one yourself, I have some scraps of parachute material I'd be willing to give you - it's all OD nylon.  I'm pretty sure I have some pieces that may work.  You may have to do a little sewing, but all I'd ask is for you to cover postage.

A few weeks ago somebody asked about getting some of these.  I did a quick google search for spare tire covers and the second link was an ebay auction for US GI surplus woodland pack covers that were being sold as jeep spare tire covers.  The price was reasonable.

I really appreciate the offer, but I can barely sew a button on.

Thanks for the link. I missed that one. My pack is bigger than the advertised cover specs but it would probably work.

Looked on ebay?  The surplus .mil woodland cand desert covers are pretty common there.

I have. But I don't think they are waterproof. Maybe with enough silicone treatment they might work well enough.

The British do have a waterproof cover for their bergens (packs) in DPM that would be perfect. Unfortunately, I can't find anyone on this side of the pond that carries them.

Here's one. The copy says "water resistant", but the price is right. Maybe a little waterproofing spray on it and it'll be good to go.

They are a little expensive, but have worked out awesome...

Bergen Pack Cover

I picked a couple up and may be a little big for 5000cu.  I have one for my tan Kifaru EMR which covers it up nicely and the other is for my bulky HSGI modified large ALICE.

The signal panel on the inside is a nice bonus and I now dropped the VS-17 from my ruck and it works as stated when you do those early morning ruck marches...turn it inside out for high-vis protection.

eberlstock has a few differnt types of pack covers. I've seen some generic pack covers in backpacking stores that were very lightwt as well, not in camo but I think you can get clear. eberystock has covers in cammo, I think the ones that fit their "just one" pack would fit a large civiian pack.
