So Ive been an avid fly fisherman for close to 20 years and over the last 15 it just dawned on me that Ive never updated / upgraded my gear.
Its always worked, never been broken so I fished the hell out of it and went thru life doing my thing.

Just like Guns, once you get something new, you just keep going so that I did.

The wife got me new Simms Rivershed boots for Xmas.
Then I had to have the new Simms G3 guide waders to compliment them.

Then tonight this followed me home :
Ross Evo LT2 sitting on a 9' 5WT Z -AXIS rod. I guess technology has changed quite a bit over the last 15 years and the guy who set me up at the shop said i should be amazed.... Gonna get out this weekend and check it out first hand.

The report is the river I fequent in the winter was a giant slushy as it was very cold here the last few days. So given that we ended up on a flatlands  Arkansas river tailwater below pueblo dam.
Fished for 4 hours and took 5 fish, all bows, one over 20" with the rest being little guys 10-14"  As for the new rod and reel it was awesome and such less work to throw around. Im pretty pleased overall.

I guess we'll give you a pass this time. I understand about the phone. My camera took a dunk the last time I was out kayak fishing.
