I saw some Permit at Los Roques but they were moving though pretty fast. The Bones and Barries were awsome. An Atlantic Salmon is on my list of fish yet to catch. |

My mate caught a 32lb Permit after me as part of his slam. Over fourty minutes to get it to the skiff. My Tarpon (95lbs) on #9 AFTM Switch rod took 2 hrs!!!

Great pics guys. I kayak quite a bit and have been wanting to give flyfishing a shot in some of the saltwater marshes and bayous around the area, but the thought of starting from scratch has been kind of overwhelming.
This is motivational stuff! |

I just hit up our local stocked trout river, Guadalupe, and fished it for trout for the first time today. I saw plenty of 25"+ rainbows but couldn't get them to bite. I did however catch this little bastard, I was happy as its my first "Texas trout" |

Nice to see people actually catching fish. I have the gear and tie a lot of flies but I haven't made it to the water once this year.
