Good stuff. I saw some Permit at Los Roques but they were moving though pretty fast. The Bones and Barries were awsome.

An Atlantic Salmon is on my list of fish yet to catch.

My mate caught a 32lb Permit after me as part of his slam. Over fourty minutes to get it to the skiff. My Tarpon (95lbs) on #9 AFTM Switch rod took 2 hrs!!!

Great pics guys. I kayak quite a bit and have been wanting to give flyfishing a shot in some of the saltwater marshes and bayous around the area, but the thought of starting from scratch has been kind of overwhelming.

This is motivational stuff!

I am looking forward to seeing some reports from down there. Next to guns fly fishing is about the most addictive sport that I have found

nice fish!!!

I just hit up our local stocked trout river, Guadalupe,  and fished it for trout for the first time today. I saw plenty of 25"+ rainbows but couldn't get them to bite.
I did however catch this little bastard, I was happy as its my first "Texas trout"

Got this 23" rainbow trout a couple of days ago here in sunny AZ out of a small stream
He jumped completely out of the water into the air 3 times and ran about 40 yards back and forth after I hooked him. He took a size 20 adams parachute on 6x tippet.

Caught two nice browns on the Gunpowder River tonight. The first one flipped out of my hands before I could take the picture. Fishing was pretty slow. I caught this one on a dry midge pattern and I caught the first one on a zebra midge nymph. Felt good to get back on the water and catch my first two fish of the year .

Crappy cell phone pic, but here is a nice rainbow I caught tonight on a wooly bugger. Fishing was slow up until about 15 mins before dark. Then the sulphurs started coming off and they went nuts! I landed 10 more browns up until I couldn't see my fly on the water anymore. I love nights like this where you just catch one after another

Here are some pics from the past month.

All of these fish are wild, and I know where there are some HUGE ones, just haven't caught them.... YET.

Looks like fun!

There's a mud flat on a local lake that has lots of big carp. It's kind of like sight fishing to bonefish.

Just a couple from last years trip out West:

It's very difficult taking pics of  fish underwater; rod in 1 hand; camera in the other and take a bunch of shots of a moving trout; hoping 1 comes out good.

Heading out again in about a month.  Can't wait!!!

Nice to see people actually catching fish. I have the gear and tie a lot of flies but I haven't made it to the water once this year.
