Here's some trout I caught this week at the gun club pond -

Monday I caught 20 trout and kept 3.  You can only keep 3 per day at the club.

20 inch Palomino -

Wednesday I caught 10.  Biggest I kept was a really nice, fat 19 1/2 inch rainbow in the middle below -

Friday evening the wife and I took a little picnic to the gun club and I did a little fishing.  Caught 7, kept 2 including this 18 1/2 inch rainbow and 17 1/2 inch brown trout.

All 37 trout I caught this week have been on a Strike King Bitsy Pond Minnow crankbait in brown craw color.  They love that little crankbait!

Wow those are some nice Rainbows, including the 24incher. I never see Rainbows up here that big

Please don't flame me but what is crankbait? I'm just a girl who got into fishing 2 years ago My first Salmon is on the first page of this thread
Where abouts in PA are you? I have a buddy who just moved down there who is the one who got me into the Salmon fishing, he would love to see some trout like that!

ETA: I guess I have some pics of the lil VT Rainbows on the first page too

You caught some real beauties there too Nikki!

A crankbait is a lure with a lip on it that makes it go under the surface.  The one I am using is made by a company called Strike King and the lure is called a Bitsy Pond Minnow.  I get them at Bass Pro and my best color is brown craw.  I like them because 1 they work and 2, at under 4 bucks each they are inexpensive!

Here is what they look like -

My best color is the brown one, number 15.

I live in Mechanicsburg PA, just outside of Harrisburg in the south central part of the state.

I'll be going to stock up on tackle tomorrow and will definately grab a couple of these crankbait guys!! Thanks for the tips! Fish ON!!!

I think my buddy lives north, closer to Ohio or something?

Some bluegills.....nothing spectactular, but they tasted good. Not much else to catch where I'm at right now. Some of them were caught off of canned corn. The rest were caught off of this little yellowish worm looking thing with a golden hook and head from Wal-Mart. I normally don't trust them for fishing but it looked blingish enough for panfish and cost $2 so I picked it up.

Striper that my granddaddy caught out on a lake back home in Tenn. We had to take pictures to prove to grandmama that he got the first fish. Caught off a minnow

He was pretty much DOA

sorry for the crappy quality, but all I had was my cell phone

My SO ended up catching a pretty good sized brook trout in this fishing access pond down by my Mom's house. It's definately not a native, they stock this pond I guess but it was delicous!! We plan to go out this weekend and start slaying some fish!! I did pick up some crank bait but haven't had a chance to use it yet. Here's the brooky!

I was out early Sunday morning back at the gun club pond from 6:30 am to 8 am.  Caught 6 trout - 5 rainbows and 1 Palomino trout.  Biggest rainbow was 16 inches.  Had a great morning.  I probably won't have a chance to fish now for a couple of weeks.

Good luck this weekend and keep posting those pictures!

My first Smallie. Taken on a Zoom Bubblegum fluke.

Last weekend. Taken off a point with a smoke and pumpkin seed tube. Weather has been weird here. The fish are confused.

Both were caught at Pine View Reservoir.
