Bait that caught the most was powerbait honey worms on a small jighead. The fish were mostly feeding up top, so the bait a couple feet under water worked great. That was in the end of July. The middle of the lake I caught mostly rainbows and if you don't have a boat, the Northeast side is good from shore for cutthroat. Both of the 2 places there that rent cabins also rent boats out. I'm headed out there as well first week of August. |

Since the weather was warm this weekend I decided to throw some line out. First day I went in for just a few hours and left with a broken reel but landed 12 all using a Storm Wildeye Sunfish. 2nd day, new reel, same lure, landed 11 fish including a crappie that fought like a 8 pound bass  Enjoy my ugly mug

Good day at Panguitch lake. This was the biggest of the 22 rainbows I caught. Luckily I got out before the fire at Brianhead forced the area to evacuate.
