What scents do use use in Oct during Bow season in Texas to mask human odor and or attract Deer ???

I don't know about Texas, but here in Indiana, I don't use any type of cover scent whatsoever, and maybe one or two days a season, I'll use estrous doe urine as an attractant, although I can honestly state that it has never helped me get a deer. I prefer the scent-free approach to deer hunting. Just keep your clothing and footwear bagged up in large scent-free zip lock bags, and do not wear them anywhere but at your hunting location. I drive to my spot, change into my hunting clothes there, hunt, then change back into street clothes again before heading home.

Wash your hunting clothes in a scent-free laundry soap designed for hunting, and bag them up as soon as they come out of the dryer. Before the hunt, take a shower with scent-free soap/shampoo, and you'll be good to go. Try to set up downwind of where you think the deer will be, so that the wind will be blowing from them to you, or at least crosswind.

I'd like to add that if it's at all possible, wait to put your camo on till you get to your hunting spot.  Your vehicle holds all kinds of nasty smells that will make you stick out like a sore thumb.

I'm also from the school that scent free (as much as possible) is the way to be.  There isn't a cover scent out there that will cover up BO.

One other thing to remember, don't use rut scents when the deer aren't rutting.  It will do a lot more harm than good.  I don't know when your rut is in Texas, but I would ask some of the guys in your area who would know.  Timing is important when using scents like those.

Well that what I was thinking also, I dont know when the rut is either, Maybe Texas Park's and Wildlife could let me know.

Anyway thank's again for all the info, And if anyone else want to ad something please do.
