We had our first 70 degree day since the begining of last November.  Turkeys are strutting and I'm finally getting back into the mood to start shooting.  I lost my Mom to lung cancer the last week in October of last year and didn't make it out at all.  Just couldn't get into it.  Then had to put my dog down the first of December...man I'm glad 2007 is over.

Got the bow out and changed all my stuff around for target shooting and maybe Turkey season.  (It opened this week)  Tomorrow I'm picking up some Easton Axis Full Metal Jacket Camo shafts and will work on them this weekend.  It'll be nice to be back in the groove.

My prayers go out to you.

But yes, Spring is starting to kick Winter's ass! There are turkey all over the dam place here. I'm going to try turkey hunting for the first time. I'm so hyped up.

What kind of BHs are you using for turkey?

I use NAP 100 grain Spitfires.  Penetration isn't a problem on turkeys.  Just the opposite so I use a mechanical to slow my arrow down.  I shot birds that look like they've been hit with a .270

I too shoot the spitfires brother, turkey season is comin up for me in early May, it's a big accomplishment if you get a bird where I'm from.  Good luck to you
