Does anyone know if I can use the hitch receiver from say an 03 Explorer on an 05? I want to replace the Class II from the factory with a Class III/IV from the factory. I got a " deal" on a BN one from FORD for $600, but if I can find a wreck with a good back end for a 1/3rd the price I'd like to do that. Any advice is appreciated |
| Do you mean the hitch, not the receiver ? The hitch bolts to the vehicle where as the receiver is the piece that has the ball bolted to it. They may be the same, you will have to call dealer and see which years run together, Im not too familiar with Ford products. |
