I have finalized my scope purchase, I went with the Vortex Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27.  It will be mounted on my 16" REPR.  I've narrowed it down to the Spuhr SP-4616 and the Larue LT112.  In reference to the Larue, not sure if I'm going with the QD version or not. I know both are high quality and built very well.  One of the things I like about the Spuhr is the built-in level.  This scope/mount will be staying on the REPR, I don't see me switching it back & forth with other weapons.  Both have 20MOA built in, so that isn't a concern.

I'm turning to the hive for there opinions/experiences of each.  Does anyone have either companies or both, if so, what do you like and not like about it/them?  Is the Spuhr worth the additional $200?

Both are quality. I have or had both. Just pick the one you like and can afford.

Money's not the issue, short of personal preference, just wondering if the Spuhr is worth the additional monies.  You said you have or had both, which one do you currently have?

I currently have the Spuhr on my bolt gun. I used to use the Larue on my GAP-10 which got sold.

Both are solid. I like being able to torque down the Spuhr as opposed to the QD style of the Larue but that's more my over anal feelings for precision rifles. The Larue never loosened on me but I rarely took the scope off the rifle so I didn't use the QD as such.

Honestly I think you could do fine with the Larue unless you want the Spuhr for the level or another reason.

Thanks for the input.  If I go with the Larue, I would get the VFZ version which is the non-QD.
