I have seen several band-plans that reference a .020 spacing on 2M simplex (i.e. 146.52, 146.54, 146.56). I have also seen several band-plans that reference a .015 spacing (i.e. 146.52, 146.535, 146.55). On 70cm I have never seen a spacing plan for simplex. Is there a standard for this I am missing somewhere? -Space |

While I don't have it handy, The ARRL repeater directory has the 2m freq spacing by state.... most states use 15khz, however some sparsely populated states use 20khz spacing (an artifact from crystal controlled radios, to reduce the number of "channels" a radio needed to scan)
Additionally, Southern NV uses 30khz, and Alaska uses 60khz spacing. I believe 220mhz uses 20khz spacing, and 440 uses 25 khz spacing...(subject to my not always reliable memory!) More info: here and here. |

Most of the repeater coordinators have bandplans that include simplex channels, use, and spacing. I have most of these programmed on my HT's, but I've only ever used simplex a handful of times. BTW, this reminds me I need to throw those Digital Voice Simplex freqs on my P25 radios.
