Finally, just my second bear in 15 years of bear hunting (off and on). Small, about 120-130 live weight. 90 minutes in the stand.

Mossberg 500 with a rifled slug, no scope, right through the heart. Ran about 50 feet. Looking forward to some tasty bear meat!

White tails are huge up north compared to NC, but our bears are huge. I think our record is 880 lbs, and normal coastal bear weights are over 300.
