Okay I looked and looked, and didn't find a forum topic about optics. So here goes, what optics do you use for spotting scope and binos? How much did you pay, and are you satisfied or thrilled outta yer mind? Gonna buy a new spotting scope this year and plan to spend some money but want some input. Thanks.

May I tag-along?

My lil' bro is interested in using his AR to try his hand for some Coyote.  He called me and asked me to probe the hive for an idea for a scope-on a broke mans budget

thanks y'all

Buy the best you can afford, you won't be sorry!  I used a pair of Nikon Monarch 10x42's for about 10 yrs, and they served me well!  Then I bought some Swarovskis.... Wish I could have bought them years ago!!  Thrilled to say the least!! From Mo turkey hunts to western hunts, by far the best money I've spent on hunting gear!!

I've used a pair of Leupold 10x42 bino's for several years now, they work well for me. I'm looking into a nice spotting scope, it seems you can either buy a cheap one ($400 or less) or a nice one ($1200 or more) there's not much in between.

Go to the SWFA banner at the top, click on it.  They have some high end used optics as well as new.

My binos are Vortex Viper 8x42 and 15x50 and I am happy with both. I had a $300 dollar spotting scope but sold it and decided to try big binos instead. If I bought another spotting scope I would spend at least $700.Get on the mailing list for cameralandny.com. That is where I have got lots of good deals and their customer service is great.

I think the Kowa spotters offer good quality at a less than premium price.
I'm happy with my Vortex razor HD spotter.
