Just got an order in from the LDS catalog- I ordered a 100 pack of absorbers for $12 figuring they would be smalled than the 1000cc I have on hand (which are 20 for $10 at (for profit) sorbent systems.  Anyway they come in, and the 100 weigh about the same as the 20 1000cc (about 2 lbs).  But the kicker is they are labeled 1500cc.  Only thing I can figure our is they are 300 cc units and they are rating them for 1500cc of air.

WTF?  If this is the case, it is probally too small for the #10 cans the LDS church uses, unless they are counting on the absorbers being under rated.

The other choice is that the absorbers are some improved technology (they are Ageless brand)

Either way, the LDS church doesn't list their size on the website, only that the packets are good for 1 gallon/4 liters of dry food.

not sure i can answer your question, but having gone to an LDS cannery, using the same o2 absorbers at the cannery you can buy, you place one absorber into a #10 can and we were told to put 2 or 3 (i don't recall) into a 6 gallon bucket.

ist  1500-2000cc per 5 gallon bukcet and the 300cc for the cans.
the 300cc' o2's will be small 2x2 or 2x3  1500/2000 will be bigger,
50 300's will do 10 buckets  at 1500cc
