| I am in the process of building a moble water pack, basicly a 5 gal specter water jug mounted on Alice Pack frame. I plan to will the can with a Seaflp 33 series 12v water pump and hopefully one of these battery packs. What I need help with is what kind of wire and connector should I run between the 2. The pump has a 8 amp draw I believe, so I don't think the USB-C port will be able to handle it. |

How much distance between the battery pack and the pump? are you going to be operating in hot areas? For connecting the two I'd absolutely use Anderson Powerpoles. Also, do good crimps, use marine grade clear adhesive heat shrink tube. |

I assume that you won't have any kind of accumulator tank. I think that pump is meant to use one. If you just have a hose and a valve, the pump will probably give you a high pressure blast initially, then turn on and off constantly when you're drawing water. This is what I'm talking about... https://www.amazon.com/s?k=RV+water+pressure+tank&crid=23AYOT02CS5YG&sprefix=rv+water+pressure+tank%2Caps%2C201&ref=nb_sb_noss_1 |

For a 5 gallon jug you won't need a whole lot of battery capacity to drain it though. I want the smallest battery I can find. The plans is to use it to fill this 5 gal water can and maybe a few others at one time. |

It's a pump I got froma friend who ended up not using it for his trailer. I guess I can try it without a tank and see how bad it is. It shouldn't take more then a few minutes to fill the can I hope. |

I recently built a solar battery bank as a float for solar to charging and then reused it for emergency pump duty also, very happy with it. Used all 10ga for the primary power from batt to terminal blocks and switch then 14ga for smaller items. +1 for powerpole connectors Worked out great with a little $33 12.8v 15ah lifepo4 batt from amazon. Note this is a 1/4hp pump pushing a legit 1000 gal/hr. If the watt rating are to be believed it would run this pump for about an hour Attached File Heres the batt module - powerpole in from solar, usb and 12v out Attached File Attached File Attached File Inside.. |
