I have has several game cameras damaged by birds pecking out the IR motion sensor window. The IR window is a Fresnel lens that seems to interest birds. This lens can sometimes be replaced, but since the camera has to be taken apart, it is easy to break solder connections that are hard to repair. Does anyone have any ideas on a practical way to protect the IR motion sensor window from evil birds? Does anyone know which game cameras have easily replaceable IR sensor windows? |

| They may be pecking at bugs attracted to it. Different reasons, but I cover all my cams with either aluminum drip edge or a birdhouse to cut glare and protect them from uv light. I found I was getting hundreds of pics a night of spiders crawling over the lenses, so I apply insecticide to the coverings and the problem stopped. |
