Been a VE with GLAARG & W5YI VEC for several years now, but have never actually used my "creds" as when either org locally had a session, they already had it covered by their friends who were VE's, or when they did contact me, I couldn't come due to mil duties or travel. Since I have a bit of evening & weekend free time, I know GLAARG has been really active in the remote testing sessions and I'd like to assist. Has anyone here been a VE for a remote session, and what do I need to prepare for one to be useful? |

I found this so far and already got registered in Hamstudy.org as a VE for GLAARG & W5YI. Just have to finish figuring out the Zoom stuff and I think I'll be ready. Found this as well. Good fun group of examiners made it very easy and stress-free. Good job. Yeah, I figured since I have some free time to offer a few hours per week, why not as it advances the hobby along. I have both W5YI & GLAARG orgs in my A.O. and tested with both, why not help them out? |

Quoted: My wife just took her tech test with GLAARG yesterday evening. She said they claimed they had ~150 participants in testing. She failed her first test by one question. The second test she passed with 31/35. She said all we very professional. It was a record-breaker at 123 examinees. Congrats! |

Local club will do parking lot written tests in March when it warms up. I was listening to their net tonight. ETA this was of course due to covid and was their work around due to not being able to put people in a room. There were a handful talking about upgrading to extra but have been stymied by the wu flu. |
