I bought mine from REI about 15 years ago and I have been very happy with it.  It takes a lot of wear and tear so buy a good one.

Sea To Summit makes lightweight stuff sacks out of sil-nylon.  Might be worth a look if you want lightweight and strong.

For ones I use multiple times per year (avid backpacker), I bought the good ones at REI. But for the Cache/Stash/GHB/BOB/Whatever, that get packed once and left for the long run and dont get packed and unpacked, tightened and loosened  more than once or twice here and there, the Walmart ones are working for me.

if you get something from rei and you dont like it for any reason, break it, destroy it, or plain want a refund you can always take it back for full refund or exchange regardless of time frame.

well yes but the point is that ones that see hard use need to be a little sturdier than the ones you only need once or twice. They'll hold up for light/limited use, like in a BOB.

I havnt had any walmart camping supplies last, even under light use.  Everythings gone bad.  Even a lot of their name brand stuff is bad.  They make a lot of deals with companies where the company makes them a way cheaper version and they sell it for cheaper as a walmart exclusive.  Its really common in their automotive and electronic depts.

I got the Stoic compression sacks and liked them.  They have an air valve on the side and they squeeze down pretty well.

This site has them and great deals in general.

Also this site (which is run by the other site) has insane deals one item at a time every 20min.  I just put a ticker type thing on my fav. bar so I can see what pops up.  I've gotten a lot of things I normally would be able to afford from it.
