I squeezed in a last minute duck hunt and zeroed on ducks but ended up with a bonus greater Canada. It is going to look great on my wall. My hunting partners also killed a drake wood duck and a widgeon(?). Attached File Attached File |

Attached File Piled em up this weekend. The cold front up north and the strong 20+mph wind really kept the birds moving. Hunted a flooded cow pasture about 1/8 mile from the river. The decoyed exceptionally well! 5 man limit, 35 birds by 0940. Sunday was much slower due to no wind. This types of days are rare for us! |

Too bad this forum does not get more traffic. Needs a bump to keep this thread going. Dove season opener 2024. First two two birds with my 116 (ish) year old London made SxS I bought earlier this year. Loads are 2.5" 1oz low pressure fiberwad handloads running around 1200fps.  " />

Me and my little Maggie snuck out during lunch today and managed to get another grouse. That's now five for her on her first season (she turned 1yr old in Aug.). She's also bagged ten pheasant plus a few quail pretty danged good for this non-pedigreed little mutt. She's become such a great friend, and I truly adore this little stinker.  Attached File |
