Looks like we have no power, therefore no phones, computers, or people. Everything will be delayed until things get back on track. No power at my house either, so this will probably be my last post until I have power as well. My laptop battery is getting low.

I've got power at my house now, but shop still is without power, and now without phones. We had a candle light vigil of building and packing today, but of course without computers, we can't bill, ship, or process. We're seeing if UPS can get a emergency shipping system to the other shop tomorrow to try to get some things out the door. We still can't access our system, since we can't get the power on, and the power company has given us a within the next two weeks as far as having power up. The temperature has stayed low, so the ice is still on the trees, more break each day, and with them goes some power or phone lines, but it will be as bad or worse when it warms up this weekend as the broken limbs that are being held together by the ice come loose, and with all of the melting snow and ice comes flooding. Real good situation here in KY :)
As more info comes available I'll post it. Hopefully we'll have power soon so we can get things back and running. Please be patient as it must be bad here, the weather channel guy was here, and that's never good!! Jesse |

Wish I was closer than Marietta, GA. I've got a great Honda generator that I would gladly loan to you. Won't power the shop but will handle a couple of computers so you could get something out the door.
Of course, since you and your people have been working so hard for so long under this panick buying spree, maybe this is God's way to tell you to take a break. So if you cannot work, enjoy your down time. grayghostcsa |

Well, we did get an update. We're the last ones on our road to get power, evidently our main power line was brilliantly ran as a 2000 ft. inclined freestanding run, and it did not make it, so it will be a while before they get to it, since it will actually take some work to get it back in place. Lovely. I'll keep you updated.

Looks like UPS is bringing us out a loaner unit to the new place, so that we can at least get some thing shipped today. We still have no invoicing capacity, so if your order gets shipped this week it will look a bit crude, probably even handwritten, but at least it will be going out.

Well, everything couldn't go perfectly, the device that causes the phone to ring for our road has blown up, so we have our calls routed to the new shop, but we do not have access to that system from there yet, so there is a lag in communication. It should be fixed by 7:00 pm on Thursday. Did I mention that we have another winter storm warning for tomorrow afternoon?

Hey Jesse hope all is working out for you and the crew there. I know you guys are swamped and I appreciate all that you are doing, keep up the good work. Please give me a call on my cell (you should have that #) sometime this week after some of the dust settles it would be much appreciated, I just want to touch bases with you on a couple of things. If there is anything I can do to help I am only 125 miles away.

We got a few inches of snow, which made it slick enough that UPS won't come here, so we have to take the packages to them, so that's nothing more than annoying. We had the truck almost full, we were only a few packages away from making them come back with a second truck (dang it!!!). Today they can't even come out our road, so we have to take it to town to the UPS store. We are still pushing through to get things out, as supplies allow. Unless someone can contact Cobra Commander and tell him to lay off with the Weather Dominator or have him switch it to sunny, that's the only thing that may help. It is supposed to warm up this weekend, and hopefully things will straighten back out.

Jesse,
I look forward to your call. Thanks for the fast response. I want to publicly appologize for any problems my group buy from another site may have caused you. I did not participate in any of the negative commenting and I refuse to do so at any point. You and your company has always been 1st class in my book and I know that you are trying to do the right thing and I appreciate it more than words can express. All I need is a phone call and about 5-10 minutes of your time. Again I will be watching for a call... Chris |

I live east of Louisville, not terribly far from Double Star. I was out of power for several days. And now we are darn cold!
I called J &T to place an order the other day and the nice lady I talked with was STILL out of power and said she would not be getting it any time soon. You have to understand that they are located in a more "rural" area. She said it would be weeks before she would get her power back as she lived at the end of a country road. (But I thought, she's still coming into work and doing her best under difficult conditions ).. She said they still have phone issues and were doing things (invoicing) by "hand". I have bought from these people before, and I will continue to do so. I know Double Star is a good company with real people who try their best to get the job done. Hey, they are in my home state and people here still take pride in themselves and their work. Jesse and all" Keep up the good work and we are all pulling for you". I didn't get the lady's name I spoke with, but you know who it was. Tell her I hope she gets power soon and to stay warm. |

I have been blown away at how well they have handled this situation. Communication has been awesome, even managed to get a last minute item on to my order. Thanks again for everything, Jesse. You guys have gone above and beyond, fighting through conditions like that, dealing with trying to get power/phone restored, AND still putting orders together. As I said in my email, I will definitely be back for more. Great Job.

THESE FOLKS ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Tell Dennis Thanks again, and the guy from Campbell is eagerly awaiting his "package". Everyone was polite and accomadating and went out of their way to assist me. I went with you all because you are a local company, and figure what better way to stimulate the economy than at home. With the way you folks do business, I will be a customer for life. Just hope I do not run out of money. I will gladly pay you Tuesday for an AR today!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
